David is
a Professor and Associate Dean (Academic), as well
as Head of the Organ and Harpiscord
Department, at Birmingham
Conservatoire which
is part of Birmingham City
University.
He is well-known for his teaching at the
Conservatoire and outside.
David is a regular teacher and examiner for the Royal College of Organists and is particularly keen to encourage young organists to travel and discover the rich diversity of European organ traditions. To this end, he organises annual study weeks in Paris, Holland and Germany for his students in the Organ Department at Birmingham Conservatoire.
He also represents the United Kingdom on the Mundus Musicalis Project of the Association of European Conservatoires, travelling to Canada in 2006 and Korea and Beijing China in 2007.
