About David Saint 

David Saint was born in Jarrow in the northeast of England and read Music at Hull and Liverpool Universities. He studied the organ with Clifford Hartley, Alan Spedding and Dame Gillian Weir. He gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists (FRCO) at the age of 20, winning the Turpin Prize for Performance. He has served as an active member of the Royal College of Organists (RCO) as Trustee. 
 
David has held various roles at Birmingham Conservatoire (now Royal Birmingham Conservatoire), including Principal from 2010 until 2015 when he retired. He is an Emeritus Professor of Birmingham City University and is Organist and Director of Music at Saint Chad’s Metropolitan Cathedral Birmingham, a post he has held since 1978. 
 
A past President of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, David was awarded Fellowship of the Royal School of Church Music in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2015..
